    Snow Go!

    After the cancellation the first round at Rissington this year due to snow we decided to brave a trip to Fulbeck for the Sprint Series round 2 despite the forecast. A practice day of high winds and frequent horizontal snow showers made for an interesting day though I did finally get to run on wet tyres on a fully wet track which allowed us to experiment with tyre pressures and chassis settings for cold wet temperatures.     Having missed out on the last round as the team manager/mechanic/dad was not well it was good to be back on track. My mate Rob Sims another ex Tyro Karter was also racing in jTKM, his first outing at Kimbolton. Saturday practice we learned little as the weather kept changing and the tyres with it. It did mean I had more time getting used to proper wet tyres, something we didn't use in Tyro. On Sunday I qualified 11th out of 30 karts for the first heat. A fairly quiet heat one
