    2018 A good first year

    As the year ends after my first season in TKM I thought I'd sum it up. Starting the season on novice plates in the first meeting of the year at Kimbolton I was happy to finish 7th and be awarded the Marshal's novice driver of the day award. Come April I had lost the novice plates so no more starting from the back, I managed 4th in the Kimbolton final in the wet. May at Kim I got my first podium with a third place and set the fastest lap, I was 4th overall in the East Anglian

    We headed off to the last round of the Kimbolton club championship knowing we had a tiny chance of winning it, though it would need two wins and a top three finish out of the three races and for championship leader to score less than 74 points. It was unlikely but possible, especially if it rained. Saturday practice was uneventful and we stopped a bit early to avoid putting any more hours on the engine which was due a rebuild.
