Kimbolton Jan 2018

A good start to my first full season in Junior TKM. We found time in the kart and I'm learning more and more how to drive it to its limit and how the tyres behave. 9th in heat 1 from 19th on the grid and 12th in heat 2, again from 19th position were good enough to see me start the final in 10th. 18 laps later I finished 7th and first novice home. I made my way up to 5th by the first corner, a few laps later was in 8th but had got back a position by the end in a race long scrap.

Lining up for the start. Thanks Kirsty Sims for the photo.

As a bonus I won the Marshals' novice driver of the day award which has got me a free entry in the next round!
