After the cancellation the first round at Rissington this year due to snow we decided to brave a trip to Fulbeck for the Sprint Series round 2 despite the forecast. A practice day of high winds and frequent horizontal snow showers made for an interesting day though I did finally get to run on wet tyres on a fully wet track which allowed us to experiment with tyre pressures and chassis settings for cold wet temperatures. The kart ran fine all day and I managed to get round with numb hands and pretty poor visibility at times. A cold overnight stay in the unheated caravan saw more snow arrived and Sunday morning the sensible decision was taken to cancel the race day. Oh well! Rissington next, hopefully in a heatwave.
