Best laid plans
Work began on the car after it's arrival, sorting the air box and filter out, removing the steering lock, camera mount and transponder mount. Not much to do but all essential if we were to get a race in during November. Unfortunately the pandemic has got in the way and it looks like we won't be racing soon and our trackday to get a bit of seat time before the race will surely be cancelled too. The above image reminds us that racing isn't the most important thing in the world.
It looks like we'll know for sure on Monday the situation, but if all cancelled as suspected we can spend some time doing a few more involved jobs on the car, the brake callipers look horrible and I think a full rebuild of those is important, there's also a throttle body from the 2.0 car to fit which should get us nearer the 125BHP allowed in the regs.
